Words are not adequate to explain our gratitude to all of you for your faith in God and your kindness toward us.  Gladys and I felt the love of all of you on this past Sunday.

 

In the passage above, Paul wanted the Believers at Thessalonica to know that he was comforted by their faith.  Those believers had extended love toward Paul and Timothy while they experienced troubles in their own situations.   Even though Paul was going through difficulties at the time, he was so encouraged that he felt joy on their behalf.  Previously when Paul sent Timothy to check on the Church members there, he found out that their faith was very strong and that they had been living to please God.

 

The Church is a family of believers that love God, and love one another.  That love is founded on our hope in Jesus Christ.  We can have joy in our afflictions and distresses because of what Jesus has already done for us.  So we encourage all of you to continue to be strong in the Lord and know that God is always with you.  I know that God will reward you for all of your kindness and love.    

 

So we again thank God for you. As we begin to take some time away for restoration, please know that we will continue to pray for you and we ask that you do the same for us.
