FWMBC Members and Friends,
Thank all of you for your prayers and help as we prepare for the "IF GOD'S PEOPLE WILL PRAY" prayer vigil on May 30-31, 2010. Those of you who are not in the area of the church but also want to help, should just pray for the revival wherever your are located. If you have any specific prayer request, just forward them to me and I will see that we include them. We will only use your name if you instruct us to. Thanks again.

PRAY FOR REVIVAL
Restore us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
(Psalm 80:19)
In his book "SPURGEON & REVIVAL" Dr. Robert H. Lescelius highlights the works of Charles Haddon Spurgeon. Spurgeon believed in prayer as a necessary ingredient for reviving the Church. "He saw signs of coming revival blessing in the spontaneous burden of prayer that manifested itself in two or three members who would be gathered unto Christ in prayer."
Do you feel a need for revival in your church? Are you hungry for the Holy Spirit to manifest greater works in the body of Christ? Do you want to see other church members catch that same burden for restoration? It can and will happen if we are willing to "pray for revival."
Psalm 80 is a "prayer for revival." It was probably written by Asaph after the northern kingdom of Israel was defeated and its people deported to Assyria. The people realized that their only hope for salvation and restoration would have to come from God. Their prayers were fervent and sincere in asking God to return them to the blessings of a previous time.
When God's people come together in prayer, God honors their efforts with spiritual power and fruit. The Church should never be "just" a place to go on Sunday. Of course we should go to church on Sunday, but there's more to it than that. The Church should be a dynamic spiritual organism where souls are saved and nourished in the love of Christ. I hope you will all agree with me, its a good time to "pray for revival!"
