This Sunday many of us will celebrate Mother's Day.  It is a day that can, and should bring on much emotion.  Many of us have mothers who are still living.  Many mothers have gone on to be with the Lord.  Sunday, will be difficult if your mother has passed away. But you can take heart that God provided a Blessed resting place for your mother. I truly believe that all Christians will reunite one day, and we will see all of our family in Christ again.  My prayer is that we can not only be thankful that our mothers  shaped our young lives in a positive way, but they did so with great sacrifice.  It is to all of those mothers, that we give honor and praise on Mother's Day!

A MOTHER'S GREATEST GIFT!

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13)

A few days ago I had a difficult decision to make.  I am usually very good at making decisions, but this one had me struggling.  I would have to go against the wishes of someone that I cared very much for, but believed it was in the best interest of that person.  I was pleased when a friend of mine reminded me, "true love always does what is best!"  It made my decision easier and put my mine at rest.

Love will always lead us to the right choices and decisions.  After all, "God is love" and we know that God would never steer us in the wrong direction.  My mother is such a blessing.  Although she is elderly, she still lets me know that she loves me and wants what is best for me.  I remember all of the times that she did what I wanted her to do; but I also remember the times that she did what I did "not" want her to do.  Now I realize, that in each case, she did what was best for me.  It was for my good even though I did not like it at the time.  My mother showed so much love for me.  I now try to do the same for her.  Mom, I love you. The greatest gift Mom gave me is the greatest gift I can give her back. LOVE!
Let's all remember, Love is the greatest gift of all, and all Godly Mother's have that gift.
