FWMBC Members and Friends,
I hope that you were all encouraged by the Resurrection day services on Sunday. I believe that both 8:00 am and 11:00 am services were Spirit-filled and Blessed. The Easter program on Sunday afternoon was also excellent and showcased how even our very young children know the Gospel Resurrection Story... On another note, a couple of weeks ago, I posed the questions, "what does the Separation of Church and State mean?" And "when is the Church crossing the line?"
One of our readers stated: Mark 12:17 In my opinion there is a distinction though it may be a fine hair line (Divine). The spiritual need is more necessary than man's weakness. I still fall short but I keep drawing nigh to HIM that gave His life for me.
I agree that whenever God's law and man's law conflict, my course of action is to please God. We do still need to draw nigh to Him that gave His life for us!
Remember to pray for our sick and shut in Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

A BELIEVER MUST HAVE FAITH!
"Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1)
When someone states that they have faith it always begs the question, "who or what do they have faith in?" Grammatically speaking, the word "faith" is a personal noun which means different things to different people. Yet as Christians, when the word "faith" is mentioned, we should automatically focus on Godly faith first and foremost. Without faith, it is impossible to please God.
There is a major distinction between the secular definition and the Biblical definition of "Faith."
The "Britannica World Language Dictionary" states that Faith is "BELIEF WITHOUT EVIDENCE."
However, Hebrews 11 states that "FAITH IS EVIDENCE." It is the evidence of things that we don't yet see.
Jesus Christ is the author and finisher of our faith. The Believer understands what God can do and acknowledges that fact by words and deeds. It is an inward conviction that what God says to us in the Gospel is true. When you have faith you know it and no one can tell you otherwise. So how can we get Godly faith? My answer is, "ask for it." Biblically, if we seek faith, we will find faith. We will walk by faith, and not by sight. So remember, a Believer must have faith! |
