VinOlympics: Sauv Blanc & Pinot   

Sauv Blancs & Pinot Noirs Take the VinOlympic Stage this Week
On Tuesday & Thursday
7 to 9pm, $10pp 
Our opening ceremony for the VinOlympics was a huge hit and we had an unexpected outcome, when upstart South Africa edged out the U.S. in points to take home the Gold. This week we will have two events. On Tuesday, Sauv Blancs from the U.S., South Africa, New Zealand, and Chile will be facing off. Thursday will see Pinot Noirs from the U.S., France, South Africa, and New Zealand squaring off.VinOlympic Medal Count

Each tasting will be from 7 to 9pm and cost $10 for four wines.  The schedule of tastings is below:
Thursday, 7/26:   Chardonnay
Tuesday, 7/31:     Sauvignon Blanc
Thursday, 8/2:      Pinot Noir
Tuesday, 8/7:       Syrah/Shiraz
Friday, 8/10:         Cabernet Sauvignon

We've got two servings of live music out on the patio this week.  On Wednesday night we welcome back Sara Thompson for her first gig at Tastings since winning the "Best Original Single" award at theSara Thompson - Playing with the Big Boys   WMRC 2012 Music Awards for her amazing "Playing with the Big Boys".  Sara will be performing her award-winning song along with a ton of other favorite covers.  Sara will be accopanied by guitar phenom Ryan Taylor. On Thursday we are thrilled to have Ali Husain back on the stage at Tastings.  Ali played his first gig in 10 years at Tastings just about a week ago and blew everyone away Ali at Tastings with his polished guitar play and super smooth vocals.  We think we found a hidden gem in Ali and hope you can join us to see for yourself.  Ali will be playing throughout our Sauvignon Blanc tastings so this promises to be a really nice evening out on our patio.

Tastings is partnering with our friends at the Medway Community Farm on a delicious fundraising event for the Farm.  Chef Lacy will be roasting a pig and assembling a menu chock full of late summer produce straight from the farm.This event is a farm-to-table feast, farm fundraiser, and community celebration rolled into one!  Click the pic to get all the details.
