CONCANNON VINEYARDS TASTING
7 to 9pm, $15pp
We are absolutely thrilled to host a very special Tuesday Night Tasting featuring the wines of Concannon Vineyards. John Concannon grew up in the same house that his great-grandfather, James Concannon, built on the soil of Concannon Vineyard in 1883. As he grew up, John worked in every facet of the family business including vineyard management, cellar operations, wine laboratory, tasting room and giving guided tours to visitors. After a distinguished 22-year career in the medical field, John returned to his roots. John is now part of Concannon Vineyard's management and winemaking teams.
In 2009, Concannon Vineyard became one of the first wineries to receive third- party certification from the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance's (CSWA) Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing (CCSW) program. Launched in January 2009, the CCSW program recognizes and fosters best practices in environmental stewardship, conservation of natural resources and socially equitable business management.
The focus on sustainability is a key reason we've been wanting to partner with Concannon. Ohhh...and by the way, the wines are ridiculously delicious too! Come find out for yourself Tuesday night out on the patio.
Learn more about Concannon Vineyards by clicking on the pic above and reviewing their extensive website with great pictures, videos, stories, and more. We will be pouring all five wines from Concannon's Conservancy line. This selection consists of five wines sourced from protected vineyards in the Livermore Valley. Protecting precious Livermore Valley vineyard land from urban development, local winegrowers have placed their land into a conservation trust that preserves it for future generations. Conservancy wines include Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and Crimson & Clover Red Wine.
Remember, if you join us for the tasting, stay for dinner, and order an entree with a value of at least $20, we will refund the cost of the tasting on your final bill. |
