Chef Maue is Passing the Torch to Chef Ben Lacy

 

It is bittersweet for us to announce that Chef Matt Maue will be leaving Tastings to pursue a new adventure in the emerging culinary hotbed of Brooklyn, New York.  Matt has been with us since Tastings opened almost 3 years ago, so we are very sad to see him leave but wish him only the best in the next phase of his career.  While we are sad to see Matt go, we are delighted to welcome Chef Ben Lacy as he takes the helm at Tastings.

 

Ben shares Matt's philosophies around farm-to-fork and sustainable foods and will bring new energy and passion to Tastings.  Ben has been working with Matt on a transition plan for the past six weeks or so and has worked in Tasting's kitchen in the past.  Ben is a magna cum laude Economics grad from Providence College that was bitten by the culinary bug while still completing his degree.  For the past 6 years or so, Ben has been working his way up through some of the best kitchens in Boston and he is ready to bring Tastings to new heights.

 

Matt's last day at Tastings will be this Saturday, so please stop by to say farewell to Matt this weekend.  Ben will be on the job starting Tuesday, May 17th.
