RED MERITAGES
Tuesday Night Tasting
November 30th
6 to 8pm, $15 pp
This Tuesday we are bringing you a very interesting wine tasting. We will be tasting three red meritages from France and one each from Australia and California. Red Meritage wines historically have been among the world's most highly rated wines. They are prized for their smooth, silky texture and complex, robust structure. While they age beautifully - often for decades - most are also very drinkable in their younger years.
A Red Meritage is a blend of two or more of the red "noble" Bordeaux varieties - Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. If the blend includes any other grape variety, it is, by definition, not a Meritage. Also, to qualify as a Meritage, no single grape variety can make up more than 90% of the blend.
Join us for this fun and informative tasting and remember that if you stay for dinner after the tasting and spend at least $20 on an entree, we will refund the cost of the tasting on your final check.

We are delighted to be welcoming back Sara to Tastings. People are raving about her recent performances at Tastings and you really don't want to miss her act. With a voice like Susan Tedeschi, a soul like Janis Joplin, and the sultriness of Norah Jones and Alecia Keys, new vocalist Sara Thompson is already making her mark on the local music scene. Known for her passion, vocal and song versatility, and powerful 6' stage presence she performs a mix of blues, blues rock, soul, R&B, pop/country, and contemporary rock. Whether performing acoustically as a duo (which she will be doing at Tastings) or rocking out with a full electric band, she has never ceased to impress, inspire, and all out entertain a crowd of any size.
