We have been busy taking a close look at our various communication vehicles here at Tastings and have talked to a number of our guests about enhancements to our newsletter, Facebook postings, Tweets, etc. A common theme has been a desire for more interesting information about our food, our wine, our cocktails & beers, our interest in supporting local farms, our vendors and more. Many have also mentioned that they would like to see occasional discounts and promotions. One of the aspects of Tastings that I am most proud of is how we house cure our own bacon. You may not know this, but I was a strict vegetarian for the first 10 years of my career as a chef...that is until I was first introduced to the love of my life... BACON!. One taste and I was hooked... beef, chicken, and fish soon followed, but bacon was my first carnivorous love. House curing enables me to take the absolute freshest cuts from a local pig farmer and put my signature on the bacon we serve by using just the right blend of smoke, salt and other flavors.
