Happy Birthday Tastings!
Wow, it has been an incredible two years! Tastings Wine Bar & Bistro is celebrating our two year anniversary on Friday, September 10th. We have all grown so much over the course of time. Our 'little restaurant that could' has gone from all small plates with a touch of Spanish influence into a bistro serving locally sourced, organic sustainable "American Haute Farm Cuisine." We pride ourselves on being the area's leader in this category, and since most of you that receive this note have dined with us before, we hope you agree.
I want to take this opportunity to personally thank all that have helped make Tastings a success. Thank you to our loyal guests. Thank you to those who have popped in for a small plate and a glass of wine. And thank you most of all to our staff. Without all of you, Tastings would just be another place to "eat."
As a special thank you, Tastings will be celebrating our two year anniversary all week long. Join us starting Tuesday, September 7th, through Saturday, September 11th for some serious Champagne deals. Tastings will be offering bottles of Veuve Clicquot for $50 all week long! We will also be offering the 'King' of Champagnes, Dom Perignon poured by the glass! The celebration culminates Friday night with complimentary cupcakes for anyone who joins us for dinner that night. So make sure to come by Tastings this week and wish us a Happy Birthday.

 Tastings' Tour of Italy

Be sure to join us this Tuesday night for what promises to be one of our best tasting events yet. Scott Shoer, our GM & resident wine geek, will be sampling a wide selection of our extensive Italian portfolio of wines for your tasting pleasure. Take a trip to Tuscany, Veneto, Alto Adige, Sardinia and more...who knows...Scott will surprise you. See you Tuesday night!
Remember...come for the tasting and if you stay for dinner and order an entree with a value of at least $20, we will refund the cost of the tasting on your final bill. |
Sara Thompson Returns Wednesday, September 8th
7 to 10pm
We are delighted to be welcoming back Sara to Tastings. Her first gig was incredible and you don't want to miss her act. With a voice like Susan Tedeschi, a soul like Janis Joplin, and the sultriness of Norah Jones and Alecia Keys, new vocalist Sara Thompson is already making her mark on the local music scene. Known for her passion, vocal and song versatility, and powerful 6' stage presence she performs a mix of blues, blues rock, soul, R&B, pop/country, and contemporary rock. Whether performing acoustically as a duo (which she will be doing at Tastings) or rocking out with a full electric band, she has never ceased to impress, inspire, and all out entertain a crowd of any size. We are celebrating the return of regular season football to Gillette Stadium with the best pre-game meal that you can find in the NFL. Chef Matt Maue will once again be roasting a whole pig for your dining pleasure. Matt will be offering a delicious, freshly roasted pull pork sandwich with Carolina BBQ sauce with some kick-ass baked beans that will get you ready for the Pat's next Super Bowl run. Make Tastings your tailgate destination before Sunday's Pats game against the Bengals. Enjoy great food, wine, cocktails and beers on our outdoor patio which overlooks Gillette Stadium. We will be opening at 11 am.
