Tastings Wine Bar & Bistro
IT'S HERE...COME CELEBRATE!!!Le Beaujolais Nouveau Est Arrive

The 2009 Beaujolais Nouveau has arrived at Tastings today and we're one of the first area restaurants to have it.  Come help us celebrate one of the wine & food world's most anticipated days of the year.  Along with the  Beaujolias we will be featuring the following dishes:

Blythedale Camembert Grilled Cheese with cranberries and organic greens

Butter Basted Free-Range Roasted "French" Chicken   with Red Bliss Potatoes & Seasonal Vegetables

Both of these dishes pair fabulously with Beaujolais Nouveau.
Greetings!

The tasting of each year's Beaujolais Nouveau has been a part of our Thanksgiving family celebration for as long as we can remember.  By French Law, Beaujolais Nouveau is always released on the third Thursday of November all over the world.  To add to the excitement, the 2009 harvest in Beaujolais is being called the best vintage in 50 years thanks to perfect weather and growing conditions.

Beaujolais Nouveau is made from Gamay grapes, which have thinner skins than other red wine grapes, making for less tannins.  This amount of less tannins also make it necessary to drink the wine while it is young (within 6-12 months) because the tannins are what allows the wines to age gracefully.

Please come join us tonight for this impromptu celebration of great food & great wine.

Sincerely,
Patti Martin
