2008 BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU RELEASE - Thursday, November 20

Each November the vineyards of Beaujolais, France make a special wine as a symbol of the new harvest that they call "Beaujolais Nouveau". Grapes for the Nouveau wines are usually picked in late September or early October where they are then taken to a cask to age for about 8 weeks. They are then bottled and shipped all over the world so on the third Thursday of November they can be drunk in celebration as a symbol of the new harvest. Boy do the French know how to live!!
Come celebrate with us and the rest of the world as we ring in the holiday season with the release of the 2008 BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU on Thursday, November 20th. Starting Thursday and continuing throughout the weekend, Chef Garcia will be featuring some traditional French dishes as part of this celebration.
