November/2008
Greetings!

November, what a busy month.  Today is Election Day.  Next Tuesday, is Veteran's Day or Remembrance Day and of course in the United States, Thanksgiving Day is just around the corner.

But did you know that  the entire month pomegranateis recognized as National Pomegranate and Peanut Butter Lovers' Month?  Or that  November 15th is National Bundt Day?  What about November 23?  Cashew Day!

OK,  I guess nobody really cares about these other
days, except maybe for peanut, pomegranate and peanutsbundt cake lovers.  I share this silliness with you to not only make you smile, but to help you realize just how difficult it is to keep up with everything.  As business professionals, it is extremely hard to stay on top of all the meetings, phone conferences, networking events and client appointments.  Not to mention the bookkeeping, marketing and prospect follow-up.

In the article below, "Focus On Your Strengths" I'll outline several areas of your business you can delegate to a virtual assistant that will free up your time to increase sales, and boost your business.

Oh, and I almost forgot, before you hit the stores on
Shopping Smiley"Black Friday" be sure you remember National Flossing Day on November 28th.
Your dentist will appreciate it.

Virtually yours,

As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms    1 Peter 4:10 (World English Bible)

Focus On Your Strengths
You have a great idea for a business.  You get a ideabusiness license, business cards, your name on the side of your car (or maybe not) and you start telling everyone about your new business.  You might run an ad in the paper, or offer a free service to a local charity to get your name out.  But I bet you never thought about what you would do with all those business cards you collect when you network, or entering receipts for things you buy or billing people with a "real" invoice with your company name on it.  After all, your a hairdresser, electrician, painter; ___________you fill in the blank.

If you are like most small business owners, you spend more of your time taking care of the administrative part of your business, which leaves you little time for really making your business grow.

Here are seven tasks you can easily outsource to a virtual assistant, which will allow you to stay focused on what you do best.

  1. Database Development & Management
  2. Email & Calendar Management
  3. Social Network Profile Management (i.e., Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
  4. Newsletter Development (online or print)
  5. Website Development and Maintenance
  6. Contact Management System Maintenance
  7. Prospect Follow-up
Basically, anything an in-house assistant can do, a virtual assistant can do and with less interruptions.  Which keeps your costs down while increasing productivity.

Your expertise and skills are the foundation of your business and what makes your phone ring.  Don't get bogged down with the daily operations involved in your business, contact A Virtual Business Solution for a free assessment of your specific needs.
