Dear friends,
Being August is the last official summer month (awwww) I hope it is smashing fun for everyone and that the rain and mosquitoes will ease up and give us a break!
We had a huge hornet/wasp nest under our patio deck and my brother- in- law (Ted) got rid of it for us yesterday; Our hero!. It was a nasty one. As a symbol in dreams and in life.insects are connect to annoyances and things that are irritating or bugging us. So, I did some reflection on what was really bugging Ron and I that attracted these insects into our garden this year. The tax audit was one thing that jumped to mind and I still have no results of what I sent in and for all I know this make take months yet. The little left overs from the renovations are " buggy" and I think they are all done other than unpacking odd boxes and deciding what to do with it all.
On a more fun note, Linda Parr and I have been working hard on our new fall workshop and you can read a bit more on that below. I will be putting the information on my web page in the next few weeks or so. We have still to find a hotel to hold it at and we will start on that tomorrow.
My friend Marilyn's son, Sean Krausert has taken on a BIG project for about 8 months to raise awareness of world poverty. Here is a small bit of information he has sent me. You can follow his journey on his link below. He is just an amazing, gifted and loving man and you might enjoy reading about his project. I spent a month homeless in 1967 so a project like this is very near and dear to my heart so I am glad to share his amazing project with you.
Sean writes:
I've been living in a sparsely equipped tent since July 23rd and will continue to do so until Thanksgiving in October . . . just two sets of clothes, no vehicle, only 1 - 2 showers per week, washing my clothes on a stone, no TV, no shaving or haircuts, no money unless earned doing odd jobs. Then, from November through January I will be experiencing the struggles of the working poor . . . roof over my head but very little cash left to cover life's necessities such as food, transportation, and clothing. Finally, for 3 months from March through May I will eat only food rations as given out by the World Food Programme to refugees in camps.
WHY WOULD I DO THIS?!?

INSIGHTS AND SOLUTIONS
Now that I have been 65 for almost two months my mind seems to have a 1000 more thoughts than before; or am I just repeating myself and having old age moments? I seem to have hunderds of ideas running like wild stallions through my head each day and the next day I can' t remember half of them! Lesson: Write things down; sure, where is the pen and paper when you need it. Now, this could lead to mild depression if I did forget everything and get myself all upset but I consider those galloping "horse" thoughts as just exercising my brain and keeping it in shape.
What my many thoughts do for me is make me dream more for the things I would still love to have or be! Now, that is exciting as a dream or goal does not have power unless you launch it with passion & emotional desire! I was once told that a dream has to burn in your heart but now I consider that heartburn a danger at my age ! Seriously, desire is where the potential of all dreams are fulfilled. Desire does keep your heart beating and the vision alive. A proverb says- " Where there is no vision, the people perish.'
If you have a dream than make it the start of reality by writing down the action steps to lead you to the fulfillment of your dreams. Tip: Goals can be modified or adjusted as you go and it is quite acceptable to do so; just don't quit!
A friend of mine recently returned from a trip and along the way she had a flat tire. It was late at night, bad weather and pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Many stops along life's road can interfere in our destination but you should not quit! You just make adjustments and get back on life's highway. Do not get discouraged if you find your dreams being blocked or creating detours; you have not failed to reach your destination, you just had to make a needed pit stop!
We do not know how long we have in our life but we do know we only get one pass at it; so slow down, enjoy it, relish every moment and make the most out of every waking moment.
Blessings, Irene

A Client Returns - This time From the Spirit World!
Back in 2004 a young man came to see for a medium reading. His name was Terry and he wanted to connect with his deceased father. We had a great reading and he returned to connect again with his dad and also with his friends father. At his first reading (which was also cards) I told him he was entering a very lucky cycle and a surprise sum of money was coming his way. At his next visit he told me he had won the 50/50 pot ($ 17,000, I think) at a hockey game and I was very happy for him. He was such a nice young man and I enjoyed our times together. I then saw on the news one night that he had been killed and I was very sad to hear that he had left life so early. I said some prayers for him and I told him I hoped to see him again one day. Last night he showed up! I am not sure of the year he died but it was 6 or 7 years ago; and I had forgotten all about him. My spiritual communication with him was brief and static but he told me he was okay and with his Dad Jerry and his dog Ginger. (At least that's what the names sounded like) I was thrilled to hear from him but wondered why the visit now? I asked him if he had a reason for seeing me and he told me his sudden death had left a void in some of his friends life and that they still grieved. He wanted me to tell them he was okay and happy and that he was still with them. I told him that I had not seen any of his friends that I know of and then he shocked me with what he said: " I saw you writing your newsletter yesterday and I was hoping you would tell them in your newsletter that I am OK. I know they may not receive your newsletter but maybe some one will make a connection some ho. If it happens tell them to remember me fondly as I do them." So, my newsletter ends with this amazing story and if any of you readers are his friends or know of them; perhaps you can pass this on to them. When we pass our soul energy still exists and only life as we knew it on earth has ended but our soul goes on forever. Thank you Terry for being in my life and I hope you are happy with this message!
