East End Businesses Caught Being Green
|
The more sustainable your life becomes the less trash you produce. If you eat less processed and packaged food you safeguard your health and at the same time produce less trash. If you use reusable bags/water bottles you produce less trash. If you are mindful about what, where and how you buy all your "stuff" you will produce less trash. ecoeastend.com applauds Paul's Pizza in Southampton for not only making the best Caesar Salad dressing around but for its generous discount for reusing their bottles. Bring it back for a refill and receive $1 off your next bottle.
This is a great example of a meaningful green business practice.
Thank you Paul's Pizza! 21 Hill Street Southampton 283-1861

ecoeastend's Family Quick Tip |
Prevention Works Don't forget the basics when it comes to keeping your family healthy this season. Good food increases the immune system and junk food decreases the immune system. Make sure you and your children are getting the proper amount of sleep. This is when our bodies do the incredible work of healing. Flu viruses including H1N1 (The swine flu) take 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat or nasal cavity to proliferate. There is time to kill the germs before they become harmful. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. Gargle 2 x per day with warm salt water. Do not under estimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method.
