Dear Friend Lesia Cartelli

After the retreat, when the girls have been home for a month, they complete an evaluation on their experience at Angel Faces.  Their feedback helps us determine what improvements we can make for future retreats, and what activities and exercises are most beneficial for the participants. Here are a few of the questions we asked and responses we received:

Q: What information do you think given at Angel Faces was most helpful to you?

A: Learning how to communicate with people when they ask "What happened to you?"...this will help me a lot, thanks!

Q: What have you changed about your life as a result of attending Angel Faces?
A: I feel more confident about leaving the house, going to the pool, meeting new people, going to water parks and putting my hair up.

Q: When asked to share any open thoughts about the retreat, Adriana (13 yrs. old) shared the following statement:
A: Angel Faces really changed my life.  I learned many things that can help me.  I really feel changed, my family and friends even noticed.  Thank you all so much.

You may remember our newsletter where we introduced you to Larisa, age 16 who had been in a serious car accident (click here to read her story).  Below is a letter and photo of a beautiful painting we received from Larisa after the retreat:

Angel Faces continues to successfully inspire, encourage, empower and support girls who have a severe facial difference to gain confidence and live full lives.

The program is held up by people like you, who support us in various ways: sending positive thoughts; volunteering your time, energy, and skills; donating money; holding fundraisers in your local area; and spreading the word about our organization with others.
