Dear Friends and Supporters:

I'm writing you today to express my heartfelt thank you and also to simply connect with you.

Thank you to each and every one of you who supported Angel Faces last year - whether it was by making a  monetary donation,  volunteering your time, or spreading the word about what we do.  Your support really makes a difference (click here to read how) in the lives of the young girls we serve...and for that, I am grateful.

Last week, one of our volunteers in Colorado held a gathering of potential new girls for the June retreat along with a few previous girls and their mothers.  The purpose was to put the new girls at ease in attending their first retreat.  The mothers connected with each other - as the girls became fast friends.  I look at it as one wounded telling another wounded where the healing is...at Angel Faces.

During our monthly webinar, part of our Angels in Flight comprehensive follow up program, it was inspiring to hear the girls' goals for the year - and the methods they have set in motion to achieve them.

Planning for the retreat is well under way.  I love it when I'm contacted with various ideas of possible presentations for the girls.  I recently received a call from a volunteer who asked "Lesia, how about a mini session on self defense?  I know the perfect teacher who is willing to give of her time and instruction!"  Ah....I'm again reminded when you open yourself up, great things come your way.  I hope you are all reminded now too!

Thank you again for your support.  I look forward to continuing to update you on our progress throughout the year.

With gratitude,
