Home Going of Translator Allen Lear
Dear Praying Friends;
This morning Allen Lear, one of God's choice servants graduated to his eternal reward.  He and his dear wife have spent these last years translating the New Testament into the Swahili language.   Though the New Testament was not finished, the John and Romans were completed and published by concerned churches of the United States.

africa 50 to 100 Million People speak Swahili
Brother Lear, may not of been known personally by thousands, but the work that he did in translating the precious Word of God will be placed into the hands of hundreds of thousands and even millions of souls that will have the opportunity to know His wonderful Savor.   For myself and the Swahili people around the world we owe much to this couple that labored and sacrificed for years.  We can be assured that their work will not be forgotten.

I personally have met Brother and Sister Lear in Westfield, MA on several occasions. I was so impressed by their dedication, sincerity and love for the people of Africa. I remember seeing his hand written translations of Swahili and asking him if I could have a copy of them from his computer.  He informed me that he had not typed them out as yet. I knew that it would be a great challenge to get this all digitized, but now much of it has been completed.  He will be missed by his family and those that he loved in Africa.    Pray that God will raise someone up to continue and finish the good work that he had started.

Until All May Hear,
