This wine hits all the high notes. The overture presents intriguing aromas of plum, tart cherry and subtle spices with a hint of vanilla and a dusting of pomegranate. A crescendo of bright flavors is accompanied by zesty acidity, setting the tone for a wine that begs to be paired with your favorite foods. Deep red fruit flavors-cherry, pomegranate and red currant-meld with baking spices and hints of vanilla, dark-roast coffee and orange zest. The high acidity lends balance and reins in the wine from going over the top.

 

We also "bottled" 75 bag in boxes of this wine, that are great for your house red, parties, or taking outdoors. 3L (4 bottles) in each, with none of the corks/glass to worry about. With a shelf life of a year, and no air intake after opening (making it last for months even after opening) this is a great item to keep around the house for those Tuesday pasta nights. A Great Day with Friends

We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who came out for our Luncheon on May 21st. You couldn't have asked for more perfect weather, the staff from DL Catering made some great food, the wines showed well (including the sneak preview of the two wines mentioned above...), and good fun was had! Saturday, July 23rd - 10:30am - 2:30pm Blending Seminar #2 with Winemaker Jamie Peterson - The Bordeaux Varietals. 

Come taste the exciting first vintage (2010) wines of Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot/Malbec off the newly replanted Bradford Mountain Vineyard. Those of you that participated in planting the Cabernet Franc might be particularly interested... Each attendee will put together their own Bordeaux blend and learn firsthand some of the finer points of what goes into a great bottle of wine.
