Dear Friend of Fred and Zin Lover,

We'll be lovingly packing and sending your Spring Zinfandel Lover's Club shipment next week, and we hope you are looking forward to receiving it!

Please update us of any address or credit card changes you may have had since the last shipment or time of joining by May 7th so you can receive your wines without delay.

We'll be having our Friends of Fred Wine Club Luncheon on Saturday, May 21st, from 12pm-4pm. 

If you are or will happen to be in the area, come enjoy a wonderful BBQ lunch, paired with your favorite Peterson Wines all while taking in the breath taking views of the beautiful Dry Creek Valley!

We'll be releasing a few limited production wines and opening some old favorites.
You will be able to pick up your Wine Club shipments at this event.

From the forward 2004 vintage and the depths of our cellar comes this lush example of Old Vine Zin at its best. With the few years it has spent in our cellar it is really tasting fantastic. 
After this shipment, we will have no more of this great wine left in the winery. Please let us know as soon as possible if you would like any additional bottles.

2006 Bernier Zinyard Zin

Friends Paul and Yael Bernier planted only Zinfandel on the hillside behind their house off of Canyon Road in northern Dry Creek Valley, thus making it their very own "Zinyard." Spicy cherry and ripe mixed berry aromas meld with earth tones and a touch of baking spices. With lower than normal alcohol (for Zinfandel), this bottling is sometimes referred to as having Zinfandel fruit with Pinot Noir subtlety. It has developed very nicely since release, and is the perfect warmer weather red wine!

2008 Tradizionale Zinfandel

Our single vineyard, old vine Zin. Recently described by the San Francisco Chronicle as Fred Peterson's tribute to classic field-blend Zin, with a mix from this 80-year-old dry-farmed site that includes Carignane, Petite Sirah and Mourvedre. That layering brings forward camphor, mint, leather and dark cassis, with a tart cherry flavor to offset. What wins it is the purity of fruit here (just 30 percent new oak) plus a slightly salty, mineral edge and structural tannins that provide old-fashioned guts.
