Zin Lover's Club Fall Shipment
It's that time of the year! We're wrapping up harvest, tasting through the wines, and making sure we share some with you!

For the half case club, we have three wines for you in this shipment; two new, and one older library treat. For the full case members, we're including a couple of other, even more rare wines from years past along with the new release wines.

The new release wines are good representations of the diversity of Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel, and the wealth of flavors that can come from such a small area.

The library wine is a great example how Zinfandel can age beautifully, and still taste fresh after nine years.

Bernier Zin2006 Bernier Zinyard Zinfandel- Club price- $21.60
Each year the Bernier Zinyard produces grapes whose flavors reflect the growing season, as if the vines are trying out different personalities. The 2006 Bernier Zin is reminiscent of a Southern Rhone Grenache/Syrah blend crossed with a Dry Creek Valley Zin.  Lovely berry aromas poised against a background of earth tones. The creamy entry and delicious flavors of juicy berry, plum and black pepper integrate seamlessly into a structure of dusty tannins and vanillin oak.

Old BW BM Zin label2000 Bradford Mt. Vineyard Zinfandel- Club Price- $28.80
Original tasting notes- Intensely rich aromas fill your senses, evoking memories of great mountain-grown Zinfandels. Deeply concentrated berry flavors shine against the backdrop of black pepper, creamy vanilla, toasty oak and a hint of mineral quality. Velvety smooth with a long plush, opulent finish- bet you can't set this glass of wine down after just one sip. Another Zin to add to your memory banks and your cellar.
Jamie's updated notes- 10/21/09-  The aromas have developed into mature fruit, orange peel, and floral/herbal notes. The berry flavors have become bright and jammy, with the mineral flavors being carried by the fine mountain tannins. Ample acidity leaves the palate feeling refreshed, and thirsty for another taste of this ready-to-go Zin. Delicious on its own, but will also pair with many foods, and it should hold well for at least another 3-4 years.
