In Ambassador Gary Doerconversation with the Canadian Ambassador to the United States, Gary Doer in regards to the SEUS-CP Alliance relationship over the past five years.

"I was at the first meeting in Montreal which was co-chaired by Governor Perdue (Georgia)
  and Premier Charest (Quebec) and I think the SEUS-CP (Southeastern United States -- Canadian Province) Alliance has progressed, but we can do better. I think the whole idea of having political leaders opening doors for business leaders to cut deals is a great concept.
