Chicken Soup for the Soul Book

Just about every writer will tell you that there is no such thing as a yellow brick road to getting published; most times it is just sheer luck being in the right place at the right time. That is exactly how it happened to me.

Back in 2008, at the invitation of a coworker I was working with at the time, I attended a conference called Write Now! put on by the Triangle Area Freelancers (affectionately known to its members as "TAF.") The event opened my eyes to the world of freelance writing. I joined the group shortly afterwards attending their monthly coffee meetings to gain writing inspiration.
