An award-winning weekend

Julie A. Kubaska & Eileen M. Dieck, MD '86

Julie A. Lisa T. Vasak, MD '92 & Richard J. Vasak, MD '11

Richard J. Vasak, MD '11 was eight years old when he attended his mother's graduation from New York Medical College. So it was a very special moment for both of them when Lisa T. Vasak, MD '92 "hooded" Richard at his NYMC graduation this past spring.

In addition to being a generous contributor to the College, Dr. Lisa Vasak has been a lifetime member of the Alumni Association since 1999. She chose to mark her son's graduation from NYMC by making another generous contribution to the NYMC Annual Fund in his honor, and by investing in a lifetime membership in the Alumni Association for him.

"Richard may not realize how valuable a gift this membership is right now - he's really focused on completing his residency and repaying his student loans. But in the years to come, it will mean more and more to him to be able to stay connected to his classmates and his medical school alma mater. I know that from my own experience," she said.
