Sesquicentennial Celebration Dinner a Glittering Success

SCD Student Citation Recipients
New York Medical College celebrated 150 years of excellence and innovation at the Sesquicentennial Celebration Dinner, which was held on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle, New York. This gala affair highlighted the College's 150th anniversary season by commemorating the many individuals who have made the College's remarkable achievements possible, including all past and present trustees, faculty and staff members, alumni and current students. Their contributions in every sphere of the medical sciences have put the College at the forefront of health sciences education and research for a century and half.
As part of the celebration, Matthew Harris, MD, Orthopedic Surgery Resident at Westchester Medical Center; Ms. Candace Ford, Ph.D. Candidate, Microbiology and Immunology, Graduate School of Basic Medical Sciences; Ms. Obiageli Nwankwo, M.P.H. Candidate, Class of 2010, School of Health Sciences and Practice; and Mr. Stephen Rotman, Class of 2010, School of Medicine; accepted citations on behalf of all students in their respective schools from Provost and Dean Ralph A.
