 Rosebud Snippets - "Love Letter from Paris"

Rosebud folded the letter again and tucked it in her apron pocket. She had read it over and over since receiving it from Henry one week ago. Henry was in Paris making a delivery of his fine custom furniture. He would be in Paris the entire month of April. Rosebud missed him terribly. She would especially miss him leaving notes and tiny gifts on her doorstep, his shy smile, and just knowing she could see him every morning and every evening as he passed by her garden wall. Most evenings she would meet him at the gate and they would talk about their day. Just before dark Henry would squeeze Rosebud's hand, press a quick kiss on her cheek, say goodbye, and hurry down the path. Rosebud took the worn letter out of her pocket to read it just one more time, "Dear Rosebud, I have arrived safely in Paris. It is very beautiful here, I know you would love it. The gardens are filled with beautiful flowers, the city glows at night, and the food is very rich and delicious. I wish you were here with me and I could show you the city. I can't wait to return and see your sweet face." All my love, Henry |
