RTC/ID BUS CARD LAST CHANCE
|  If for any reason you have not had your picture taken for the ID cards, a retake will take place Thursday August 23 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm in room 272.
Returning students already have their cards from last year. Should you need to have your card replaced, you will be charged a fee of 10.00$. Remember that even if you do not use the city bus, this card is your SLC Student ID card. You will need it for access to activities organized by the student council, to obtain books and audiovisual equipment in the library and to identify yourself when necessary in the school. |

WILL YOU BE 19 YEARS OLD BY SEPTEMBER 30TH?
|  If so, your RTC (OPUS) card must be renewed. Bring to room 272 before 9.00 am Tuesday September 18 2012. If you are 19 years old or will be by September 30th, you must return your OPUS card. Your card will be "encoded" so you may keep purchasing your tickets at a student rate. This is free of charge but only happens once. Bring your cards to my desk in room 272 before September 18th at 9.00 am. The RTC will bring back new cards at the end of the day. |

PARKING AT SLC
|  Parking lottery details: Students must fill an entry form, available at the reception desk. There are 5 to 10 spaces available to students depending on the needs of the staff each year. The draw will take place on Thursday, August 30th at 13h00. The winners will be notified through MIO only and will have 3 business days to claim and pay their parking pass (Before Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 4pm). All unclaimed card after this deadline will be put back for a 2nd lottery. Parking spaces can also be rented at neighboring apartments: Pavillon Montcalm (418) 656-0553 and there is a parking area down on Nérée Tremblay (418) 653-7458. Do not park at the Pyramid. They will tow your car immediately.

LOOKING FOR TUTORS
|  The St. Lawrence Peer-Tutoring program is actively looking for tutors to help first or second-year students in following subjects: Math (Science and Social program), Chemistry, Physics, Macro Economics, Quantitavie Methods, Accounting. If you are interested in offering your services to help fellow students overcome their difficulties in these subjects please see Joanne Gosselin room 272.
Peer tutors must be second or third year students.
Peer tutors are paid by Champlain St. - Lawrence for their tutoring services and it will be up to you to tell me the number of hours you are willing to offer as a peer tutor.
An obligatory training session will be set-up in the next few weeks for new tutors.

 Theatre Auditions:
St. Lawrence's production of ''Othello'' by William Shakespeare. This tale of sexual jealousy and manipulation features wonderful characters and this production will be a great way to have some fun this semester. Auditions are on August 29 and 30th starting at 5:30 PM each, and August 31st all day, in Room (to be confirmed) Auditions require you to memorize as much as you can a male or female monologue, available at blackletellier@live.com.
