LockersEMPTY YOUR LOCKER. Before you leave for the summer!
Remember to clean out your lockers before you leave for the summer. All lockers must be emptied and locks removed before Friday, May 18. Even if you are coming back next term and/or using the fitness center, you must empty your locker. You will be assigned a new locker next fall. After May 21 all locks will be cut and the lockers will be emptied of their contents. We do not keep the contents of the lockers! Clothes are given to charity and the books recycled.  For more info see Joanne in room 272.

  •  Four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students who have applied and been accepted in a bachelor program this fall at l'Université Laval.
  • Applicants must have maintained an 80% average.
  • Potential candidates must be able to demonstrate they were highly involved in extracurricular activities at school or in their communities.

Graduation Cocktail

The end of the semester is almost here and so is the graduation ceremony and cocktail. We are looking for two student to work first as a parking attendant as the guests arrive, then at the cocktail as a waiter/waitress.

There is a mandatory dress code. You must be dressed in black and white for the cocktail.

Book Sale Do you need cash? Would you like to get rid of your old books? There are three ways for you to to this:

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SELL YOUR OLD BOOKS, BE SURE TO ADD THIS DATE TO YOUR AGENDA.

On Friday, August 17th (the same day as welcome day) you are invited to come directly to the cafeteria or the gym (this needs to be confirmed) and sell them immediately. Flee market style.  The fast way to sell your books.  No fees.  You just come to the gym with your books. Don't forget to identify all your books with your name, phone number and price of sale. Bring some change with you.

New and returning students will be encouraged to visit the used book sale.

You may also sell your books on the SLC Portal.  Go to your SLC Portal, in the left hand menu under: My Omnivox Services and you will see a second hand books tab.  Just follow the instructions.

Lost and Found Last Chance, Lost and Found.

If you lost something this semester, it could be your last chance to recuperate it. A Lost and Found table will be set up for the last time this semester in front of the reception desk.  Next week,what is not claimed will be donated to charity.

I am excited to announce that a new team could join the ranks of the Lions pride this Fall. St. Lawrence could become the first Cegep of the Province to welcome a cycling team in its ranks and you could be part of history by joining the all-new SLC Lions Cyclocross (Cx)  team! Cyclocross is the fastest growing cycling sport in North America and is a perfect match to the academic calendar. All students may join, whether you are currently a cyclist or not. My target is to recruit 8-10 team members. All interested students should reach me asap at mbeaumont@slc.qc.ca

FITNESS CENTER SUMMER MEMBERSHIP
Fitness

The fitness center is open for the summer.
Summer membership is

$40 and begins Monday, May 28 to August 17, 2012.
Summer hours are:
Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 18:30
Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 pm to 15:30
Lions athletes 2011-2012  memberships are valid for the summer.
All members must show proof of membership and must train in pairs (must be at least two) for security purposes.
Both parties must have a summer membership to the fitness center and will be asked to show appropriate identification to the security guard or supervisor. Immediate expulsion if one of the users does not have a summer membership to the fitness center.
