Studio Art: Painting and Drawing Students Exhibition
|
This painting: by Marie-Christine Roussel-Gray
Take a look at the latest masterpieces of the Painting students! « Final Projects » is an exhibition of the final project of the students of the Art and Aesthetics: Painting class. Our exhibition is on display in the hallway of the 3rd floor between the staircase and the exit and in the front display case on the 2nd floor beside the main entrance.
All students chose to paint an original composition or to copy a painting. Original compositions were done with a combination of a variety of references including personal and professional photos, postcards, library books and sketches from reality, memory or imagination. Students copying paintings did so after a thorough analysis of the artist's technique, examining the brushwork, the evidence of layers of paint, and the artist's colour scheme.
Congratulations Art students for creating an ambitious exhibition of expressive artwork with a wide variety of styles and subject matter!
