This year's sports banquet will take place on Thursday, May 3rd in the cafeteria. For more info, just drop by room 272.

If you are planning to pursue your studies in CEGEP next fall and are interested in discovering what university studies are like in biochemistry, bioinformatics, chemistry or physics, take part in a 5-day exploration activity this summer. You must register before May 18, 2012. Take part in conferences, workshops, lab activities, industry visits, etc. You will be able to talk to professors, students and graduates who all share a passion for science. Students who did not receive an admissions offer from Sherbrooke can speak with recruitment officers about other options they may have. For our SLC Lion teams the season is now over.

Men's Hockey Team for their third banner in a row!   

 

Golf Team: Josee Doyon won the CCAA women's individual title with a remarkable two-day total of 148. Her closest rival was 10 strokes behind her.  The SLC Golf team was in PEI for the 2011 PING CCAA Golf Nationals.The men's team won the Fair Play and Sportsmanship Award.    

 

Cross Country Team:The two SLC Lions endurance teams representing the College  at Pentathlon des Neiges won the inter-collegiate banners in their categories.

 

 

Thank you to all of our athletes for the hard work and dedication. Also a special mention to our Lions Graduates. Good luck with your future plans next fall. Thank you to all our supporters and see you next year.

CAFETERIA HOURS DURING EXAMS
CafeteriaAS OF MONDAY, MAY 7, 2012 CAFETERIA SERVICES WILL CLOSE AT 13:30.
EMPTY YOUR LOCKER
LockersBefore you leave for the summer! Remember to clean out your lockers before you leave for the summer. All lockers must be emptied and locks removed before Friday, May 18. Even if you are coming back next term and/or using the fitness center, you must empty your locker. You will be assigned a new locker next fall. After May 21 all locks will be cut and the lockers will be emptied of their contents. We do not keep the contents of the lockers! Clothes are given to charity and the books recycled.  For more info see Joanne in room 272.
FITNESS CENTER SUMMER MEMBERSHIP
Fitness centre

The fitness center is open for the summer.
Summer membership is

$40 and begins Monday, May 28 to August 17, 2012.
Summer hours are:
Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 18:30
Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 pm to 15:30
Lions athletes 2011-2012  memberships are valid for the summer.
All members must show proof of membership and must train in pairs (must be at least two) for security purposes.
Both parties must have a summer membership to the fitness center and will be asked to show appropriate identification to the security guard or supervisor. Immediate expulsion if one of the users does not have a summer membership to the fitness center.

If you have invested a minimum of 60 hours of volunteer  (or unpaid) work in one of the seven areas: Social and Community, Academic, Science and Technology, Culture and Arts, Entrepreneurship, Politics or Sports, you are eligible to apply and receive official recognition. Should you be planning to travel in 2011-2012, please verify the academic calendar before reserving your trip.
If you plan a trip during the semester or during the exam period, you run the risk of failing the course.

Jeunes Boursiers des Grands Québécois 2012

 

  •  Four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students who have applied and been accepted in a bachelor program this fall at l'Université Laval.
  • Applicants must have maintained an 80% average.
  • Potential candidates must be able to demonstrate they were highly involved in extracurricular activities at school or in their communities.
