BE AN ANGEL. Help make someone's Christmas special by contributing to the 16th Annual Community Christmas Hamper Campaign.
|
Again this year, the hamper may be found right in front of the reception desk. Every Year the Hamper Committee has the challenge of filling over 200 Christmas hampers to be distributed to English-speaking households in the Quebec City region. If you would like to make a cash donation, you may give Christine Dick a cheque made out to The Christmas Hamper Campaign, and it will be turned into such perishables as eggs, flour, beef, and turkeys. And of course, tax receipts are issued for donations over $10.See Joanne McCalla for more info.

SAT TEST TAKERS
Students registered for the December 3 SAT test must remember to read the registration guide and come prepared for the test. You must bring a valid ID with picture that matches the name on your admission ticket. Be sure to read what you are allowed to bring (type of pencils, authorized calculator, etc.) and leave behind what you are not allowed to bring to your desk.
Students who wanted to take the December 3 SAT test, but who did not register on time, can register as "stand-by". You will be charged late fees and you cannot register online. Read the information online about "stand-by" testing. To get a registration form, see Nicole Anne Daigle in room 254 (library). Students who want to register for the January 28, 2012 test date must register at the latest December 30, 2011. We strongly encourage you to apply by December 20 (early registration deadline) if you are sure of taking the test. | Who should register for SAT testing?
Students planning to go study in the States are generally required to complete SAT testing. The test is administered by the College Board. Canadian students are considered to be international students. Students planning to take both the SAT and SAT Subject tests must do so on two separate testing days. Although St. Lawrence is an authorized testing center, you must register online at http://sat.collegeboard.org and pay your testing fees to the College Board. Study materials are available at your library. You may also use free online practice tools or order additional practice material. The registration booklets, as well as the preparation booklets, are available in the Counselling Office, room 254. Our test center code is 97261 (if you don't find our name on the list, you may also search by code). If you have any questions about the registration process, you may contact Nicole Anne Daigle, Guidance Counsellor. |
