SLC Background

FITThe French Improv Teams' season starts at Mérici College
"Recruitment camp is over, the first few practices are done with. My players have the eyes of tigers, the hearts of lions and the jaws of crocodiles, I saw it in training. Now it is time for everybody to see what imagination they have in their stomachs!" - Coach Bouchard     Last week, the game schedule of the "Ligue des Pamplemousses" was made public for all of Quebec improv teams. The French Improv Team (THE FIT)  have a big season in front of them if they want to access the regional finals. Wednesday, October 26, the FIT will be playing it's first game at collège Mérici. You are more than welcome to come encourage your team.  Merici are known for their rowdy and partial crowds.

The FIT initiate their season with four match in four weeks:
     - October 26, 20h00  FIT vs Morisses  @ Mérici
November 2nd, 20h00 Joyeux Pyromanes vs The FIT at SLC in the cafeteria.
November 9th, 20h00 FIT vs Vilains Pompiers
@ Limoilou

November 16th, 20h00 Haschichiyns vs FIT @ SLC
Not only do these four game nights initiate the FITs' improv season, they also represent the only match ups before winter break. ECO-St. Lo
Logo Eco St Lo

Here is your green tip of the week from ECO-St. Lo, your award-winning local environment group.

St. Lawrence, ECO-St. Lo and Green Denis Duguay launch a brand-new composting project!

Composting is an excellent way for us as individuals to cut down on ourpersonal contribution to landfills. And did you know that decomposing waste in landfills generates methane, a very powerful greenhouse gas?

There a number of ways we can compost. Quebec City has some municipal programs, and we can compost at home.

Here at St. Lawrence, we now have bins to receive compostable materials, including vegetable cuttings, pasta remains, bread, eggshells, seafood shells, fish, milk products (including cheese), even meat waste and used paper towels from our washrooms! Yes, our  project is remarkably extensive, and we at little St. Lawrence should  thank Green Denis Duguay for spearheading this new initiative. The cafeteria staff is now putting all food waste in our compost bins, and the city is collecting our local compostables.

At St. Lawrence,it's easy being green!
