GIANT FACIAL FEATURES
| « Giant Facial Features» is a new project of the students of Studio Art: Drawing exhibited in the 3rd floor hallway near the water fountain. Each student has made a charcoal drawing of one of their own facial features after carefully observing all of the minute details using a mirror. Drawings that show some colour have had conté de Paris added to them. The resulting surreal and surprising compositions are combinations of facial features from different students. |

Green tip of the week from your ECO-ST. Lo, your local environment group.
People are always wondering what we can do as individuals to lessen our environmental impact. At our recent conference with environmental activist Mikael Rioux this question came up over and over again, with a real sense of urgency! Here's some tips:
*Consume a lot less-of everything!
*Buy local foods.
*Eat a lot less meat, or become a vegetarian.
*Drive a lot less, or get rid of your car.
*Fly a lot less, or quit flying (it's no fun anymore anyway!)
*Don't buy bottled water-ever!
* Learn how to compost and you will reduce the amount of garbage you add to the local landfill by at least 40%.
* Learn the joys of voluntary simplicity! Spread the word to others!
*Join an environment action group and/or a political party with a strong environmental record.(Why not join ECO St.-Lo next year?) Write letters, march, and demonstrate. Fight for social change, especially for a no-growth society.
In the weeks to come ECO-St. Lo will provide a comprehensive list of organizations that you can join or support.
At St. Lawrence, it's easy being green!
