GIANT FACIAL FEATURES
| « Giant Facial Features» is a new project of the students of Studio Art: Drawing exhibited in the 3rd floor hallway near the water fountain. Each student has made a charcoal drawing of one of their own facial features after carefully observing all of the minute details using a mirror. Drawings that show some colour have had conté de Paris added to them. The resulting surreal and surprising compositions are combinations of facial features from different students. |

Green tip of the week from your ECO-ST. Lo, your local environment group.
--During the winter season, it is cheaper and more ecological to turn down the heater several degrees lower while no one is home during the day/night, and then to turn it back up to a reasonably comfortable temperature when home. If cold, put on a sweater and socks before raising the thermostat!
For laundry, wash with full loads instead of washing just a few articles, because less water will be wasted. Using cold water instead of warm also reduces up to 90% of the energy used to wash the articles (...and there is less chance that those new clothes will shrink!).The same applies to dryers- apply the lowest setting in temperature, dry in full loads to use less heated air, and when possible wash clothes by hand and leave to dry (this will also prevent shrinking of the clothes).
At St. Lawrence, it's easy being green!
