Dear Art in Action Community,
It is with great enthusiasm that I am writing to let you know about some exciting changes at Art in Action. We have grown tremendously over the last 30 years and are poised to expand our program to even more children. I have, at this time, decided to refocus my time and energy on curriculum development, which has always been my real passion. As a result, Art in Action will be hiring a new Executive Director. Welcome New Schools

Art in Action is now in two new states! We welcome teacher Natasha Bingham of Hobble Creek Elementary School in Mapleton, UT to Art in Action. Natasha will be guiding her 2nd grade students through "The Artist's Vision." The students will explore form and space as they learn about portraits, landscapes and still life. We also welcome G.W. Trenholm Primary School of Tuscumbia, AL who will pilot the program in kindergarten, first and second grades!

The value of arts education: A video - This 14-minute film does a great job detailing the impact of arts education on the development of children's cognitive, artistic, social and psychological development.
Funding for the Arts Sometimes Benefits All of Us Does funding for the arts benefit only elite arts patrons, or does the rest of society benefit, too? In these times of limited philanthropic dollars, this is an incredibly important question.
