| Letter from the Executive Director |
Art is just too much fun. Maybe that's why some people don't recognize that a good art lesson teaches children to think. Educators are talking about whole brain thinking. Our children will need to be creative, critical thinkers as adults. This video by leading educator, Bernie Trilling, describes ideal learning. He is describing what happens in an Art in Action lesson. When you share an hour teaching an Art in Action lesson, you are also teaching the kids to analyze, solve problems, and innovate. What a gift you give! Judy Sleeth

Art Advocacy |
Today's kindergarteners will be retiring in the year 2067. We have no idea of what the world will look in five years, much less 60 years, yet we are charged with preparing our students for life in that world.
The Partnership for 21st Century Skills is a national organization that advocates for 21st century readiness for every student. As the U.S. continues to compete in a global economy that demands innovation, P21 and its members provide tools and resources to help the U.S. education system.
