Art in Action Teams up with Secret Builders!
  |

Secret Builders is a virtual world website for children ages 5 to 14 powered by a web 2.0 community of children, parents, educators, writers, artists and game developers. Children explore virtual lands, undertake quests, play games, maintain homes, nurture pets, and interact with friends. The "One For All" feature allows kids to raise funds for their schools or favorite charities by simply answering Math and English questions. Each answer gives virtual money to the kids and REAL cash for their cause! To learn more

The slide shows on the school's website use free website software from www.webschoolpro.com and is used for all the district's schools, according to webmaster Barbara Tallent. The website also features a description of the Art in Action program. We encourage other schools to include their Art in Action program on their school's website.

Americans for the Arts - Why Ask For More? Just like kids need to have good nutrition on a daily basis, kids need to have their daily serving of the arts. Chances are, though, that your kids are not getting enough art-in or out of school. The arts are much more than just fun "extra" activities for kids. Studies have shown the far-reaching benefits of an arts education. To learn more
