| New Curriculum Books Fly Off the Shelves
|
Educators and parent docents are excited about Art in Action's new 2007 edition which includes new and improved lessons in an easy to read format. Teachers love the curriculum integration ideas and appreciate how clearly the lessons correlate with state standards. Updated resources, color pictures of the masterpieces and student examples bound in a handy spiral book add to the ease of teaching the Art in Action curriculum.

| Save the Date for Upcoming Workshops

Clay Workshop Come to THE clay workshop on Thursday October 25th, from 7-9 PM! Learn how to teach clay lessons, techniques, glazing, firing, and storage. All attendees will create the clay project they will be teaching. Free.
Gift Workshop Get an early start on the holidays and join us in our holiday gift making workshop! On Wednesday November 7th from 7-9 PM, special guests will demonstrate how to make books, jewelry and other fun and easy creations to share with your family and friends. $25 fee (includes materials).

Gallery Highlights SJ Museum of Art

Due to his significant contributions to Abstract Expressionism, Bay Area Figuration, and his highly acclaimed Ocean Park series, American painter and printmaker Richard Diebenkorn is regarded as one of the leading artists of the 20th century. Diebenkorn in New Mexico: 1950-1952 highlightes a little known period of Diebenkorn's life that had a lasting impact on his career. The exhibition brings together 50 paintings, works on paper, and sculpture that have never been seen together before.
