 National Partnerhsip on Youth Attainment and Transitions Update
 
The National Partnership clarifies roles and responsibilities between the Commonwealth and the States and Territories and was established to support the achievement of a national Year 12 or equivalent attainment rate of 90% by 2015.
 
The State and Territory Governments have just released their implementation plans outlinning what reforms they will be introducing under this Partnership.

  A New Direction for the AYMN
 
In order to continue to support a growing youth mentoring sector, Golden Man the Australian Youth Mentoring Network (AYMN) is exploring a new model of decision making. Programs registered on the AYMN 'Australian Mentoring Program Database' and key stakeholders are invited to comment on the two proposed structure and decision-making models being put forward.
 
 
To make sure your comments count, all submissions must be received by 5 p.m. 28th May 2010 (AEST).

Australian Youth Mentoring Conference 

  

Summit istockRegistrations for the Australian Youth Mentoring Conference will open soon. The Conference will have both international and local speakers discussing the latest issues facing the youth mentoring sector.

 

The Conference will be held at the Radisson Resort Gold Coast from 10 - 11 November 2010.

Youth Development and Support Program
 
Piggy in grassA reminder that the Youth Development Support Program 2010-2011 funding round is expected to open in June. The Program funds eligible organisations to support initiatives that inspire and encourage young people aged between 12 to 25 years to develop skills and connections within their communities.  
 
A total of $500,000 is available to support eligible organisations to deliver projects for implementation in 2010-2011.
