Online Self-Assessment Tool

OSAT icon

With the year quickly rounding out, now is the time to use the online self assessment tool (OSAT). OSAT has been designed to assist with identifying opportunities for growth and development within your program.

OSAT allows program staff to assess how well they are achieving each benchmark standard on a 0 - 5 rating. Programs are then able to identify areas of strength and weakness. If an area of weakness is identified programs, will be able to access specific resources to assist with further developing this area to ensure an overall high quality program.

Programs can complete the assessment at 1 point in time and compare their results in 6 or 12 months time. They can also anonymously compare their results against all other programs that have completed the tool.

Click here to learn more about OSAT and to assess your mentoring program.

Updating Your Program Profile

To ensure that the information we provide to potential volunteers, teachers, parents and young people remains accurate we are asking all users to log on and ensure the contact details and program information are still correct. If your information is not updated by the 20th of December we will assume you no longer would like your program to be listed and will remove it from the website.

New Research: E-mentoring

iTrack ReportThis report by The Smith Family on their e-mentoring program, tracks the progress and outcomes of two sets of iTrack students. The first with access to face-to-face meetings with their mentor, and the second undertaking a purely online relationship. The findings suggest that students who do not participate in face-to-face meetings with their mentors during the program do not appear to be disadvantaged by this in terms of their skill development gained through the program.

Mentor/Mentee of the Month

Lise and AshleaThis month's mentor and mentee of the month is Lise and Ashlea! Lise and Ashlea are participants of the Plan-IT Youth program in the Riverina region in New South Wales. They have been highlighted this month to celebrate the success of Ashlea's speech where she highlighted how "lucky" she and her fellow students were to be matched with "kind and caring mentors".

Congratulations to Ashlea and Lise!
