24/7 Dance Studio
OCTOBER 2010 NEWSLETTER |
Greetings!
Happy Fall! We have many exciting activities planned over the next few months, please check the "Calendar of Events" and join us as we start our fall off right!
With fall also comes the flu season. We try very hard to keep the studio clean. Please, if your child is sick, don't bring them to class! We can always schedule a make-up class for them. Let us know when your child will not be in class by calling the studio.
As the weather gets colder, dancers must make sure they wear their jackets/coats when leaving the dance studio! Even though their bodies are warm, they need to cover up to prevent injury to their muscles. Also, dance shoes are to be worn in the studio only, and not outside! By wearing dance shoes only in the studio you not only protect the life of the shoe but our dance floors as well! Lockers are available at the studio at a cost of $5 for the year. You provide the lock and combination and students can leave dance shoes, extra tights, jackets, etc. in the locker.
Thanks for your help in making our first full month at dance so successful!
Sincerely, Gina Korrell

DO NOT DROP OFF OR PICK UP AT THE CURB AT ANY TIME!
This is a gentle reminder that for the safety of all of our students, DO NOT drop off/pick up or park at the curb. We have young students entering and leaving the studio at various times of the evening and even though you can see them, someone else may not! We have seen far too many close calls to not bring this to your attention and ask that you respect our policy for your childrens safety. Our staff WILL ASK YOU TO MOVE into a parking space to drop off or pick up your child. For their safety, children 10 and under, must have an adult come into the studio to pick them up.
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILDREN UNATTENDED IN THE CAR for your children's safety!
Thank you! |

24/7 HOLIDAY SHOW - FREDERICK STUDIO ONLY
This year our Frederick Studio will be performing a Holiday Show (sorry Hagerstown, we could not find a venue). It will be held on December 4th & 5th at the Middletown High School. Not all classes will be chosen to participate, we will notify you next week if your child's class has been selected. Whether or not your child is participating, please come to see the show. It will be very entertaining and it's great to support your fellow dancers, you may even see your teacher perform.
Holiday Show Auditions are open to all students of 24/7 and are held here at the Studio on October 31 at 2:30pm. Look for the sign-up sheet on the main bulletin board. Please bring your completed piece and be ready to perform for a panel of judges. |

PARENT OBSERVATION WEEK...
is the week of November 14-20 and is a week when parents are allowed to go inside the studio to watch your child dance. As you can imagine there is not alot of space during this week. We must insist that siblings be left at home or with a sitter if you would like to participate so that your dancer receives your full attention to show you their hard work so far this year. Siblings may not be left unattended in the lobby area as they could get hurt. Also, we are only able to invite 2 adults per dancer. Please know that you may also choose not to participate, but we are very aware that the class will not be a "normal" class for students/parents and teachers :)
You will also be shown a picture of the costume your teacher has selected for recital. Don't worry, if you are unable to attend, we will be emailing a color photo of your class' costume. |
 |
COSTUME INFO & PAYMENT REMINDER
The charge for your childs costume(s) is automatically deducted on December 1st. If your child is in multiple classes and you would like to schedule additional amounts to be taken towards costumes in addition to your October and November installments, contact the front desk and we will be glad to help.
We will begin measuring each student at the beginning of November and a size confirmation card will be sent home as soon as we can. Please note that this will all take place rather quickly, so please be on the lookout and then contact us immediately with any concerns. Our system generates a size based on the company that we order from. You will be asked to return this card ONLY IF you are changing the size being ordered. |
