A fun way to learn and grow.  Gymnastics develops strength, flexibility, balance,stamina, control, concentration, coordination and self esteem. 

Ages 3-5:  Tuesdays or Wednesdays 1:15-2:00pm beginning Feb 9 - Mar 16

Ages 5-10: Fridays 4:30-5:30pm begins Feb 12 - March 19 in Frederick.Cost is $102

6 week program     Frederick Only

Ages 4-5: 24/7's first acting class for our youngest actors! This class will teachyour child theater fundamentals through drama exercises and skits that will enhanceyour child's creativity and imagination.  

Thursdays 1:15-2:00pm beginning Feb 11 - March 18   Cost is $85 

 

Ages 12 and up: A more in depth and intense study of acting and theater techniques.  A continuation of the skills from intro to acting. Focus on character development,monologues and scene studies. 

Mondays 7:00-8:00pm beginning Feb 15 - March 22 Cost is $102

Your child will be introduced to a wide variety of physical exercises and gross motor skills to improve flexibility and strengthening and to help your child's physicaland mental growth. Each child participates at their own level. This is a non-parentclass. 

3-5 Year Olds: Wednesdays 9:30-10:30am begins Feb 10 - March 17     Cost:   $102

6-week Program      Frederick Only

Your child will be introduced to the fundamentals of art: color, line, shapes, form and texture - by painting, drawing, making collages, fashioning three-dimensional objects and talking about their work. Each child participates at their own level. This is a non-parent class. 
Ages 3-5: Thursdays 1:15 - 2:00pm begins Feb 11 - March 18
Cost is $85 plus a session material fee of $20.

6-week Program        Frederick Only

Your child will be introduced to a wide variety of musical scales, tonal and rhythmpatterns and instruments that help to stimulate your child's musical growth. Eachchild participates at his/her own level with you or a caregiver and children of different ages. 

Ages 1-4: Mondays 11:15-12:00 noon begins Feb 8 - March 15  Cost:  $65 plus materials  

Ages 4-5: Mondays 1:00-1:45pm begins Feb 8 - March 15 Cost:    $65 plus materials

We are already very busy preparing for recital.  Each family will be assigned a "SYTYC 24/7! 2010" Recital Booklet in mid-March.  Your family must have an adult (18+) sign out a Booklet. These Booklets will contain vital information such as: important dates and times, procedures,helpful information, forms and much more! Some of the information is time sensitive. Please make sure you take the time to come into the studio to get your packet in March.

There are many volunteer opportunities for each Recital Show.  Each childrens class (typically 9 yrs and under) must have a class mom volunteer.  Please check the bulletin board at the dance studio to ensure that your class has a class mom for recital.  If no one has signed up by the end of April for Hagerstown/end of May in Frederick,someone will be randomly selected.  Sorry no Dads are allowed to be class volunteers due to children changing clothes, but there are other jobs for Dads to do. All volunteers are able to enjoy the show at no charge.  There is special front row volunteer seating, one of the best seats in the house for you to enjoy your child's performance if you volunteer!

Tickets are on sale now at the front desk. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. You can call the studio at 301-846-4247 to get your tickets in advance.  The games start at 2pm and the doors will open at 12:30pm at the Jefferson Ruritan Club in Jefferson, MD. Persons who have a pre-paid ticket will receive 5 free raffle tickets! We hope to see you there. Proceeds benefit Dance Fusion and the Young Professionals.

 

 
Quickly becoming a 24/7 favorite It's the DADDY DANCE! Volunteer Studio Dads will be performing on stage at the "So You Think You Can 24/7!" Recital.  Look for the sign up sheets on the bulletin board this month so your Dad can show his talent!

Please keep in mind that we do not follow the Frederick or Hagerstown Public Schools' snow policies. If there is inclement weather, the studio will make a decision to close by 8am for all morning classes and by 2pm for all late afternoon and evening classes. A message will be put on the studio answering machine by these times.  An email will also be sent. In the event that the weather should take a turn for the worse during classes, a decision will be made and classes will be contacted as necessary.

 As the recital approaches, it is important that your child makes every effort to attend class.  After February 1st, any student missing more than 3 classes may forfeit participation in the recital!  Each class has begunworking on their individual recital pieces starting in February.  A portion of each class will be devoted to the recital dance and that makes your child's attendance very important.  MAKE UP CLASSES ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

Policies regarding tardiness/attendance are as follows:

    1.  2 times late = 1 absence  

    2.  2 times leaving early = 1 absence  

    3.  2 times watching = 1 absence

Recital costumes have already begun arriving and some may not arrive until April. Students will be trying on the costumes in class as they arrive to make sure all the pieces are present.  Teachers will report major costume issues to the front desk. It is your responsibility to have costumes altered if needed. Each costume company recommends the best size based on your child's measurements. Please keep costumes hung neatly and keep all accessories with the  costume. There will be label on each costume bag stating which tights, shoes, hairstyles and accessories are needed and which show they are performing in.

Summer schedules will be available by mid February! Summer classes are a great time to try a new discipline or keep up with your current dance classes! There will also be Princess Camps, Diva Camps and two Musical Theater Camps! Register early!

The studio now sells freshly brewed cups of Keurig Coffee, tea and hot cocoa for $2! We have many kinds to choose from, kinda like your friendly 24/7 Cafe.  See the front desk to make your selection and receive your cup!

We are now charging .25 cents for a hair tie in an effort to encourage your child to keep one in her dance bag.  Our teachers are having problems with needing to send the kids out of classrooms to get their hair secured away from their face.  We would appreciate your help in keeping your child in class.
