Any glimpse into the life of an animal quickens our own and makes it so much the larger and better in every way.

Even city dwellers recognize the primal sound of coyotes at night. Echoing through canyons, parks and vacant lots, coyotes' yips, yelps, barks and howls establish their territory in even the most developed places. In fact, biologists recently documented 200 coyotes living successfully in Chicago's industrial parks and skyscraper canyons, thriving on a diet made up mainly of rodents, Canada geese and their eggs. Although coyotes' nightly concerts inspire fear in many small pet owners, most coyotes try to avoid human contact. Bringing your pets and pet food inside and leaving no trace in our wilderness will help coyotes follow their natural hunting patterns and KEEP IT WILD.
