Africa's Hope
By the time Charles Juma returns from Africa in the fall our Africa team will have conducted 23 Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry Forums and communicated the gospel in schools to 80,000 kids in 13 countries. Every week we receive reports like these from Charles:

Zambia JFYM Forum |
Forums:"God is going to turn Zambia upside down with his gospel through our Eagle Leaders. During our day together, I challenged them with my burden and vision for young people in Africa, and our goals for reaching and discipling African youth. I called on them to take ownership of this ministry with urgency...Then together we conducted the JFYM Forum. We received many powerful responses like this from Kathbet Chebe: I will never see young people the same again after today!...This is what we needed...Now I know
how to reach the youth culture." |

Schools: "It was a great day today. We shared the gospel with 6,327 students. In one high school the principal is the chairman of all the Christian Union in this part of Kenya. He wants to introduce JFYM to all the high school principals in the region. So he is calling 100 of them in September for a one day JFYM Forum. His hope is that JFYM can become a part of their training throughout Kenya."
Pray for the 23 Forums, 80,000 students in 13 countries that the Holy Spirit will move powerfully and Jesus will reign as Lord!

Nicaragua's Beginning
Jeff Chadwick, at Winns Baptist in Richmond, Virginia and a long time Eagle Leader with Reach Out, took a team to Nicaragua last month. For the first time his team conducted a Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry training. And for the first time the 35 people who attended received youth ministry training. None had ever participated in a "prayer triplet". The team used our Spanish JFYM book and power point. Each person received these tools on a flash drive. "They were very engaged during the training and thrilled to get the tools," Jeff reported. From this beginning the pastor's are considering their next steps to reach and disciple kids. Pray for Reach Out to gain a foothold in Nicaragua through this church. |

Egypt's Future
The Lord will fulfill Reach Out's dreams for Egypt in spite of the chaos. Our close friend, point person for Reach Out, and "invisible church" (M_____ converts) leader returned to Egypt Friday. Since over 400 Christian leaders have fled Egypt in the last 40 days, Hany and his family see themselves as "reverse missionaries". Reach Out has a strong commitment to equip invisible church leaders--mostly younger generation--in a "house seminary", using numerous Arabic Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry resources as the core training. Since Hany has stepped into sheer chaos, we will implement our plans with flexibility. We know Jesus wants to shine His light in Egypt through us. Pray for protection, wisdom and clear direction for Hany's family and for Reach Out, so that we can have a powerful influence on the "invisible church." |
