January, 2010 Dear Partners for the Younger Generation,   2009 ended with a favorable flourish for Reach Out! Since last February when we "hit the wall" financially, we have prayed:  May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us--yes, establish the work of our hands (Psalm 90:17). He poured out His favor on us--through you! We finished the year in the black. Thanks to so many of you who invested in us.   2009 Ministry Finale -- Peru   Because of God's favor through you, we did not miss a beat in our ministry because of lack of funds!  It was such a good year! Parents transformed through Parent Fuel, youth leaders equipped in Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry from New England to Texas and in thirty plus countries like Cuba, Kenya, Tanzania, Ukraine, Russia--and Peru.   We ended the year positively in Peru. Bill Winton, youth pastor in Florida and one of our long time Eagle Leaders, has "sowed the seed" of Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry with youth leaders in Peru for many years. The last six years Bill's own volunteer leaders have equipped the Peruvian youth leaders. The sustained, long term effect of returning to Arequipa each year continues to "reap a great harvest". At Camp Lajoya over 100 youth leaders from around Peru came together for a weekend of training. Many traveled more than twenty hours to attend. The Campo Marte church had no ministry to teenagers before this weekend because they had no leaders. But Vicente and Gabriela sensed God's leading to bring a group from their church to attend the training. Afterwards they said, "We are grateful for the opportunity to be trained and to now have the connections that will help us start a ministry to teenagers in our church."  Now one of the Peruvian youth leaders, Mike Pastor, trained by Bill's team previously, is mentoring Vincente and Gabriela as they implement Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry.   2010 Ministry Priorities   2010 will be our best and most challenging year ever! So we continue to ask for God's favor. Over our Top 10 Priorities for 2010 we wrote 2 Corinthians 9:8--"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."    We desire to live in His grace in 2010 knowing He will give us all we need to accomplish His priorities. Invest in and multiply Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry training and leaders in Cuba, Germany, Ukraine, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Republic of Congo, Burundi, Egypt and Iran. Invest in and multiply leaders throughout the USA by conducting at least 15 Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry Forums. Update and republish the Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry notebook. Equip 100 churches and 3000 parents in Parent Fuel. Create a sustainable delivery system for expanded communication with younger generation leaders globally 2010 Grace Journey   In 2009 the Lord favored us with His grace through you! Thank you for following His leading to invest in us. In 2010 we hope you will continue to go with us on this grace journey. Beyond our monthly operating expenses we know that we still must raise $100,000 to have all that we need ...to abound in every good work.
