"Mother's Day brings so many feelings of deep emotion as we remember our own mothers and grandmothers and how they shaped our lives and influenced us to be the mothers we are today.
To all the moms, grandmoms and other special women, you have brought so much to this day to celebrate, just by being there under all the circumstances that children bring into our lives. Thank you for taking your role so seriously and for giving the job your very best, for letting your child know he is special, she is loved and that they are yours forever.
Happy Mother's Day to each of you brave souls...protector, encourager, replenisher, teacher, cheer leader, corrector, prayer warrior, defender. To all of you, thank you. You are the best!"

This month at Dillon we are honoring all our moms, moms-to-be, birthmoms, foster moms, grandmothers and other special women in our lives.
Honor a special woman in your life with a gift to benefit an orphaned child. You can help a child stay in school, assist with their daily care or share in the cost of necessary medical care. Your loved one will receive a card notifying them of your gift (amount not included) and an orphanCare International brochure highlighting the projects the gift will serve. This can be sent directly to the recipient or to you for giving. Happy Mothers' Day!

Way to go Tricia!

"Four years ago this May we chose Dillon International to help us begin the journey that changed our lives forever. Dillon's long-standing commitment to the countries in which they work was one of the most important factors in our choice of an agency. Their office in central Arkansas was also an important resource for us during our adoptions.

After researching the international adoption process and working closely with Dillon's staff, we knew--generally--what to expect. We knew that there would be both great challenges and great joy. However, we never could have anticipated the countless friendships that we formed with other adoptive families. Second only to parenting our two incredible children, this has been the greatest blessing of our adoptions. If it weren't for the special way we became a family, I would never have met this extraordinary group.

As the number of local families adopting from Vietnam grew, we formed a mothers' group we call VietMoms. The group meets monthly for dinner and throughout the year for 'play dates' and family gatherings. VietMoms has become an essential part of my support system.

Most importantly, my life is richer, fuller and brighter because of my children. We are always busy (and usually exhausted), but this is the life I dreamed about. And it is so much better than I ever imagined."
