INDIA CAMP '08

GREETINGS!

India Camp was a huge success this year, we had more campers than ever!  With over 50 adoptees that attended, the class sizes were perfect for everyone to connect with their heritage and each other.

There were a number of classes and activities for the kids to get involved in, including classes in cooking, language, and dance!  There were even henna tatoo artists to give the kids a glimpse into another form of artistic Indian tradition.

Bringing the families together was a huge success at camp this year.  When asked what the families liked best about camp, an overwhelming majority repsonded "just being with other adoptive famlies from India."

The kids really enojoyed the yoga and dance portion of camp, as well as any activity involving food!

ISRC continues to provide daily care to a growing number of children with special needs including physical therapy, medical care, a special educator and trips outside of the home to help the children develop and grow.

They also oversee a feeding program for children who live in slums, providing milk and meals for those that come to school, as well as medical sponsorships to needy adults and children from the poorer communities.
