I'm sick.
My head is throbbing and the words on the screen are a bit blurry, but there is something I must share with you. Last night, while I was feeling too terrible to even get out of bed, my husband came in and dabbed my forehead with a damp washcloth and asked gently if I needed anything. He took care of me when I couldn't take care of myself. He held me and comforted me when I was at my lowest.
Even through my misery, I realized something quite important-that the love my husband showed me was exactly the love that Christ shows all of us. When we are at our lowest, our weakest, He comes and showers his amazing love on us-taking care of every need and comforting us through the most difficult of times.
So many times, we get caught up in the idea that we must be strong and provide for ourselves, but the truth of the matter is that it is in our weakness that He is strong. When we finally realize that we can't do it all on our own-that He doesn't expect us to-then we can begin to fully rely on Him for our health, our provision, and our peace.
Where are you right now? Are you in a time of strength-are things going well in every way-or are you struggling in some area? Are you finding yourself at a moment of weakness? I know I am. I am weak, and He is strong-so I will say, as Paul did, "... I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me" (2 Corinthians 12:9b). Come let His power rest on you whenever you are in a moment of weakness. He's strong enough, and He loves you enough to bring you through anything that life throws your way.
I call you BLESSED!
