 "Babaji is de Mededogende. Babaji zal al je verlangens vervullen als je naar Hem toekomt.
Als tegenprestatie vraagt Hij je menselijk te zijn. Je moet werken. Je moet je werk zo goed doen als je kunt, wat het ook is.
Je moet voortdurend waakzaam zijn. Je moet trouw zijn aan je land. Dit is een tijd voor actie, zoals uitgelegd in de Bhagavad Gita. Alle religies en rangen en standen zijn welkom." Leringen van Haidakhandi Babaji, 16 februari 1983.
Bericht van de Babaji ashram:
De essentie van de Paduka Puja tour is dat de medewerkers van de Babaji ashram enkele plaatsen bezoeken met Babaji's Paduka's (sandalen). Babaji's Paduka's staan hierbij symbool voor Babaji zelf! Het is alsof Babaji op bezoek gaat naar verschillende plaatsen in Nederland met de daarbij behorende sfeer en spirit. Het ontvangen van Babaji wordt op een speciale manier gedaan: de sandalen worden gewassen, er wordt parfumolie aangebracht, wierook en enige zoetigheden worden gegeven, en er wordt Aarti voor Hem gezongen. Ook een donatie hoort erbij. Het is een feestelijke bijeenkomst, waarbij na de Paduka Puja ceremonie verder gegaan wordt met het zingen van kirtan. Neem iets (kleins) te eten mee voor een gezamenlijke maaltijd ter afsluiting.

"De Babaji ashram van Haidakhandi Babaji was de eerste plek die ik ooit op mijn eerste reis naar India - begin jaren negentig - bezocht heb. Dat was waar ik op een heel concrete manier kennis maakte met het belang van vuur en de andere mahabhutas (elementen) in de vorm van rituelen in de ashram en de uitgebreide vuurceremonies die daar uitgevoerd werden. Sindsdien heb ik eigenlijk altijd een zeer sterke connectie met de Babaji ashram en met Haidakhandi Babaji gevoeld. Voor mij is het daarom dus heel bijzonder dat deze Paduka Puja in onze school zal plaatsvinden."

"Babaji is the compassionate. Babaji will fulfill all your desires if you come to Him.
As a compensation He will will ask you to be human. You have to work. You have to do your work as good as you can, whatever it is.
You have to always be alert. You have to serve your country. This is a time for action, as explained in the Bhagavad Gita. All religions and classes and castes are welcome." Teachings from Haidakhandi Babaji, 16 Februar 1983.
Information from the Babaji ashram:
The essence of the Paduka Puja tour is that the people living at the Babaji Ashram in Holland visit several places with Babaji's Paduka's (sandals). Babaji's Paduka's are symbolic for Babaji himself. It is like Babaji going to visit these places in Holland himself, with all the inherent spirit and atmosphere. The welcoming of Babaji in these places will be done in a special manner: the sandals will be washed and bathed, perfume will be applied to them, incense and sweets will be offered, and an aarti wil be sung. Also a donation is appropriate. It is a festive event, and it will be followed by some kirtan (singing). Please feel free to bring some things to eat and share afterwards.

It was the place where I learned about the importance of fire and the other mahabhutas (elements) in the form of the rituals in the ashram and the fire ceremonies they perform there.
