Zoe Leonard's monumental installation You see I am here after all (2008) comprises several thousand postcards of Niagara Falls dating from the early 1900s to the 1950s. Rendered stereotypical and generic through repetition over decades, these landscape motifs are emblematic of mass culture's transformation of natural sites into tourist destinations.

Closing January 16, 2011

While Blinky Palermo is widely known throughout Europe as a leading postwar artist, his paintings have rarely been exhibited in the United States. The retrospective, co-organized by Dia and CCS Bard, brings together approximately 70 seminal works which span the breadth of the artist's influential career and provide an in-depth look into his diverse aesthetic and radical approach to painting.

Following LACMA, the exhibition will travel to the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, DC (February 24-May 15, 2011) and then to a two-part presentation at Dia:Beacon and CCS Bard in New York's Hudson Valley (June 25-October 31, 2011).
